Job summary

Rainmaker Technology Corporation is hiring a Software Engineer to own our production infrastructure and security in El Segundo, CA. You will manage cloud infrastructure, deployments, observability, identity and access, secrets, vulnerability management, incident response, and recovery to keep 24/7 operations resilient.

You will build remote systems that endure outages and lost comms, while collaborating with software, science, aircraft engineering, and field teams to ship reliable capabilities

Qualifications

• Experience building production infrastructure.
• Willing to relocate to El Segundo, CA.
• Deep familiarity with AWS and infrastructure-as-code tools like Pulumi or Terraform.
• Experience managing secrets and credential lifecycles in fast-moving environments.
• Designed or maintained zero-trust networks; familiarity with WireGuard; using Tailscale preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own production infrastructure end to end, setting deployment, monitoring, and recovery standards.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and test infra for rapid development.
• Balance rigor and security with speed for engineers.
• Collaborate across software, science, aircraft engineering, and field operations.
