Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join the Information Security Team in safeguarding Akamai, its customers, and the Internet worldwide.

You will report to the Director of Security Engineering and collaborate with IT and engineering to provide security design guidance for new and existing applications, systems, and platforms. Responsibilities include researching adversarial techniques, conducting risk assessments, deploying mitigations, and ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Proven experience in network security analysis or intrusion management.
• Experience with malware and vulnerability identification and mitigation.
• Experience with secure deployment of infrastructure-as-a-service.
• Experience in FedRAMP and/or CMMC environments.

Responsibilities

• Research adversarial techniques and emerging vulnerabilities and related detection and response strategies.
• Conduct network, application and system security assessments to identify risks and provide mitigation strategies.
• Assist with design and deployment of security controls to mitigate risk.
• Perform compliance and policy-based investigations of internal systems.
• Document security guidelines and policies with emphasis on NIST 800-53 and NIST 800-171.
• Provide security guidance to Akamai business units and stakeholders.
• Leverage AI capabilities to enhance processes and automation.
• Develop scripts and tools to support security functions.
