Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join the Information Security team in the United States.

You will collaborate with industry-leading security experts and provide security design guidance for new and existing applications, systems, and platforms. You will research adversarial techniques, perform security assessments, deploy risk-mitigating controls, and conduct policy-based investigations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree.
• Proven experience with network security analysis or intrusion management.
• Experience with malware and vulnerability identification and mitigation.
• Experience identifying software and application compromises and vulnerabilities.
• Experience with secure deployment and usage of infrastructure-as-a-service.
• Experience working in a FedRAMP and/or CMMC certified environment.

Responsibilities

• Researching adversarial techniques, emerging vulnerabilities, and related detection and response strategies.
• Conducting network, application and system security assessments to identify risks and provide mitigation strategies.
• Assisting with design and deployment of security risk mitigating controls.
• Performing compliance and policy-based investigations of internal systems.
• Documenting security guidelines, procedures, and policies with emphasis on NIST 800-53 and NIST 800-171.
• Providing security guidance and consultation to Akamai business units.
• Leveraging AI capabilities to enhance processes and automation.
• Developing scripts and tools to support the above functions.
