Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. seeks a Senior Security Engineer to join its Information Security team in safeguarding Akamai, its customers, and the Internet worldwide. You will collaborate with IT and engineering groups, providing security design guidance for new and existing applications, systems and platforms.

You will research adversarial techniques, conduct security assessments, and develop tooling to automate risk mitigation, aligned with NIST 800-53/800-171 and FedRAMP/CMMC contexts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in security engineering or related field.
• Experience with network security analysis or intrusion management.
• Experience identifying malware, vulnerabilities, and mitigations.
• Experience with secure deployment of infrastructure-as-a-service.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP and/or CMMC environments.

Responsibilities

• Research adversarial techniques and emerging vulnerabilities.
• Conduct network, application and system security assessments.
• Assist with design and deployment of risk-mitigating controls.
• Perform compliance and policy-based investigations of internal systems.
• Document security guidelines and policies (NIST 800-53/800-171).
• Provide security guidance to Akamai business units.
• Develop scripts and tools to automate security processes.
