Job summary

Hbcu Connect, Llc is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to evolve the enterprise secure access platform amid AI, cloud-native workloads, and emerging threats. You will design, implement, and automate security controls for proxy, traffic steering, and cloud services to improve visibility, posture, and scalability.

This onsite role (5 days a week) is based in Atlanta, GA, with primary responsibilities including threat modeling, automation with code, and guiding cross-functional teams to enforce

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in security engineering or related cybersecurity roles.
• Deep knowledge of threat modeling, security testing, and penetration testing.
• Experience implementing and managing complex information security technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and improvement of the enterprise secure access platform aligned with AI-driven workloads.
• Govern traffic steering strategies for proxy, bypass, and direct-to-cloud patterns.
• Adopt advanced security capabilities to modernize the platform and enable rapid threat response.
• Architect automation and policy-as-code for deployment and compliance across environments.
• Perform threat modeling and security design reviews for cloud, SaaS, and AI-enabled environments.
• Provide expert-level operational support for secure web gateway and cloud-delivered security platforms.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead medium-complexity initiatives.
