Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to act as technical lead for security operations across enterprise and isolated environments. The role will mentor staff, set priorities, and coordinate activities with ISSM, customers, and engineering teams to maintain strong security posture on site.

The position requires hands-on engineering, expertise in vulnerability management, SIEM/GRC tools, and compliance with NIST/DoD standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience.
• DoD 8570.11-IAT Level II (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC or SSCP) certification required.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph or willingness to obtain.
• Experience leading security operations and vulnerability remediation.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day security operations and set priorities for the security team.
• Provide technical leadership to system admins and engineers.
• Oversee vulnerability management from detection to closure.
• Coordinate remediation across Windows, Linux, network, and desktop teams.
• Support RMF/ATO activities and compile security documentation.
