Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join a small team of security engineers providing IA architecture analysis and security engineering support for NC3, COG, and senior leader communications. You will conduct risk assessments, design and operate real-time threat detection capabilities, and guide security implementations across multiple enclaves with diverse data classifications.

The role requires TS/SCI with polygraph clearance, strong DoD briefing skills, and deep RMF

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IA with 14+ years as ISSE or System Engineer
• CISSP or CASP certification required
• Strong writing and briefing skills to senior DoD officials

Responsibilities

• Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and provide prioritized risk mitigation recommendations.
• Support the design, implementation, and operation of real-time capabilities to detect, analyze, and mitigate threats and vulnerabilities.
• Analyze candidate architectures against security requirements to identify gaps and mitigation strategies.
• Research emerging technologies to determine cybersecurity effectiveness and applicability.
• Engage stakeholders to define security objectives, protection needs, and validation methods.
• Review C&A documentation and provide feedback on completeness and compliance.
• Assist architects and developers in implementing information security functionality across enterprise solutions.
