The role emphasizes collaboration with product owners and platform teams, applying secure coding practices, and driving continuous improvement across security and development pipelines in a major financial institution.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and 3 years of applied experience.
• Experience developing security engineering solutions.
• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (Jenkins/Selenium Grid).
• Proficient in coding in one or more languages such as Java (Spring, Spring Boot)/Python, with AWS cloud deployment experience.
• Database experience (RDBMS or NoSQL).
• Solid understanding of Test Driven Development, JUnit, Mockito, Maven, Repository Management (Git) and RESTful Web Services.

Responsibilities

• Execute security solutions design, development, and troubleshooting for internal clients.
• Design, code and test high-quality production code.
• Maintain and improve software using data and infrastructure knowledge.
• Design and develop scalable cloud applications.
• Identify patterns to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Resolve high impact production issues and ensure business flow.
• Drive cost-effective security solutions and update policies and roadmap.
