Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Security Engineer III to join the Cybersecurity and Technology Controls team in Plano, TX. You will serve as a seasoned engineer delivering secure software solutions that meet functional requirements while preventing misuse and threats.

You will design and implement scalable security controls across cloud platforms, participate in CI/CD pipelines, and troubleshoot production issues to safeguard critical financial applications.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and 3 years of applied experience.
• Experience developing security engineering solutions.
• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (Jenkins/Selenium Grid).
• Proficient in coding in one of more languages such as Java (Spring, Spring Boot)/Python, and experience in development and deployment in AWS.
• Database experience (RDBMS or NoSQL) required.
• Solid understanding of Test Driven Development, JUnit, Mockito, Maven, Repository Management (Git) and designing and developing applications with RESTful Web Services.

Responsibilities

• Execute security solutions design, development, and troubleshooting for internal clients.
• Design, code and test high-quality production code.
• Perform software maintenance and improvements using architecture disciplines.
• Design and develop scalable applications for cloud.
• Identify hidden problems in data and drive improvements to coding hygiene and architecture.
• Resolve high impact production issues and ensure smooth flow of business applications.
• Drive and select cost-effective security solutions and implement best practices.
