Job summary

Twilio is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join the Security Incident Response Team (SIRT). You will lead technical responses to security events across Twilio’s global infrastructure, driving triage, containment, remediation, and post-incident improvements.

You’ll collaborate with R&D and business teams to automate responses, write runbooks, and share best practices while continuously expanding your incident response capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of security incident response in production cloud environments.
• Proficient with SIEM and SOAR platforms.
• Experience across cloud providers (AWS/GCP).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support response to security events across Twilio’s global infrastructure.
• Document incidents and build runbooks to share knowledge.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to resolve threats and incidents.
• Own the incident lifecycle and participate in RCAs.
• On‑call rotation participation and post‑incident improvements.
