Job summary

Tempus is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II, Security to lead complex security engineering implementations across a microservice architecture. You will enhance customer identity management, authorization, and observability systems while collaborating with product teams and stakeholders to balance priorities.

You will work with cloud infrastructure, IaC tools, and security frameworks, mentoring teammates and driving improvements across engineering tooling and processes.

Qualifications

• Experience leading security engineering implementations across a microservice architecture.
• Proficient with identity management platforms (Auth0, Okta, Microsoft Entra, Ping Identity).
• Knowledge of OAuth, SCIM, SAML is a plus.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud) and IaC tooling (Terraform).
• Strong collaboration across product, engineering, and security teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex security engineering implementations for customer identity management, authorization, and observability systems.
• Improve security micro-services, frameworks, and tooling to address gaps and emerging standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to implement internal security standards across a micro-service architecture.
• Partner with product teams to balance priorities, scope, and trade-offs.
• Drive continuous improvements in engineering tooling, designs, and processes.
• Configure services tooling such as Auth0, Okta, Auth0-FGA, Chronicle, Terraform, and GCP.
