Job summary

Tempus seeks a Senior Software Engineer II, Security to lead complex security engineering initiatives for customer identity management, authorization, and observability across a microservice stack.

You will improve security micro-services, frameworks, and tooling while partnering with product teams to balance scope and priorities. Experience with cloud providers, IAM platforms, and DevOps tooling is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in security engineering for microservice architectures.
• Ability to design reusable security components and tooling.
• Familiarity with cloud providers such as AWS or GCP.
• Knowledge of identity standards and IAM practices.
• Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript/Node.js/Python.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex security engineering implementations across a microservice architecture.
• Improve security micro-services, frameworks, and tooling to close technical gaps.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to apply internal security standards.
• Balance project priorities with stakeholders to deliver solutions.
• Drive improvements in tooling, designs, and processes.
• Configure and manage Auth0, Okta, Chronicle, Terraform, and GCP services.
