Job summary

Prime Intellect is building the open superintelligence stack and secure sandboxed environments in San Francisco. You will own the security engineering that protects proprietary models, data, and compute across hosted and on-prem environments, with scope to grow into a leadership role.

The role emphasizes incident response, threat modeling, and building secure defaults, with collaboration across security, CTO, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Experience securing production systems handling sensitive data or IP.
• Proven incident response experience with clear postmortems and lessons learned.
• Knowledge of Linux, cloud IAM, networking, and container boundaries in production.

Responsibilities

• Harden cloud, GPU, and server infrastructure across hosted and customer-controlled environments.
• Build security telemetry, audit trails, detections, and actionable alerts.
• Lead incident response from investigation to recovery and postmortems.
• Own vulnerability prioritization and urgent patches coordination.
• Build secure defaults for identity, secrets, data access, and deployment pipelines.
• Test systems with an attacker mindset and run threat models.
