Job summary

Prime Intellect, Inc. in San Francisco seeks a lead security engineer to own security across our frontier GPU infrastructure, sandboxes, and training platforms. You will protect proprietary models and data while enabling frontier labs and enterprises to operate securely.

You will grow the security team, partner with the CTO, and drive incident response, vulnerability management, and secure design patterns across on‑prem, hosted, and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Secured production systems with sensitive data or IP in demanding environments.
• Experience responding to real incidents and explaining lessons learned.
• Know where Linux, cloud IAM, networking, and container boundaries break.
• Shipped controls that hold up in production environments.
• Owns fixes from discovery to deployment with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Harden cloud, GPU, and server infrastructure across hosted and customer environments.
• Build security telemetry, audit trails, detections, and alerts for suspicious activity.
• Lead incident response from investigation to postmortems and fixes.
• Own vulnerability prioritization and patch coordination with teams.
• Create secure defaults for identity, secrets, data access, and pipelines.
• Test systems with attacker mindset; perform threat modeling and tests.
