Job summary

Dell Inc. seeks a Security Engineer - Federal Customer to join an on-site team in Chantilly, VA. The role focuses on automating security practices, maintaining compliance, and protecting next-generation infrastructure supporting IT workloads.

TS/SCI clearance is required to access sensitive program data. You will collaborate with DevOps engineers to design, deploy, and secure platform infrastructure, perform security assessments, and develop repeatable processes.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to maintain access.
• Experience with ATO, NIST SP 800-53, RMF/CS frameworks.
• Experience with Nessus, Splunk/Wazuh/SysLog.
• Knowledge of VLAN/LAN/WAN and network topologies.
• Ability to communicate with vendors and customers to implement solutions.
• Experience Linux/Windows and networking devices (Cisco IOS, Palo Alto).
• Experience managing firewall rule sets to secure infrastructure.
• Proficiency with protocol analysis tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security automation to meet compliance and security baselines.
• Deliver simple, sustainable, and repeatable security solutions and processes.
• Operate and troubleshoot networking, Linux systems, and next-gen networking software tools.
• Maintain security best practices to stay compliant with government/industry standards.
• Think big and innovate security solutions to move faster while meeting milestones.
• Ensure roll-out of new designs meets compliance and assist deployment and sustaining platform infrastructure.
