Job summary

Dell Inc. seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer for a Federal Customer in Chantilly, VA. On-site 5 days per week; TS/SCI required. You will join a diverse team to design, deploy, maintain, and secure platform infrastructure across Kubernetes, DNS, IdM, OCP, OAUTH, and more.

You will automate deployments, build robust CI/CD pipelines, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable IT infrastructure for mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

• Experience deploying, managing, and monitoring Kubernetes and containerized apps.
• Working knowledge of IdM, OIDC, KeyCloak, Authentik.
• Experience containerizing apps with Docker/Podman.
• Strong background in Python, Go, Rust.
• Securing Kubernetes environments with RBAC, PS/Admission Controllers, secrets management, and network security.
• Diagnose and resolve performance issues within Kubernetes.
• Troubleshoot across the Kubernetes stack from infrastructure to app level.
• Hands-on with CI/CD platforms like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Tekton, Argo.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitOps.
• 15+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Active TS/SCI and ability to maintain access as required by the program.

Responsibilities

• Understanding of networking concepts including bonding, bridging, VLANs, firewalls, and troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of Linux, BSD, UNIX operating systems.
• Knowledge of scripting languages: Python, Go, Bash.
• Expertise in containerization platforms like Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
• Strong security foundations: encryption, authentication, authorization, access controls.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and project management.
• Adapt to changing requirements and priorities.
• Commit to continuous learning and professional development in DevOps.
