Job summary

Dell Technologies Inc. is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support a federal customer on-site in Chantilly, VA. The role focuses on designing, deploying, maintaining, and securing scalable platform infrastructure with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and related technologies.

A TS/SCI clearance is required and the team collaborates across internal and external partners to deliver secure IT solutions. The candidate will automate deployment and configuration of operating systems, applications, and

Qualifications

Experience deploying, managing, and monitoring Kubernetes and the containerized applications running within.
Working knowledge of authentication protocols and methodologies (IdM, OIDC, KeyCloak, Authentik).
Experience containerizing applications via Docker / Podman.
Strong programming background in one or more languages (Python, Go, Rust).
Expertise in securing Kubernetes environments, including RBAC, Pod Security Policies/Admission.

Responsibilities

Senior DevOps Engineers demonstrate the ability to analyze complex problems and engineer effective solutions.
Understanding of networking concepts, including bonding, bridging, VLANs, firewalls, and troubleshooting
Solid understanding of multiple operating systems (Linux, BSD, UNIX)
Knowledge of one or more scripting languages: Python, Go, Bash
Expertise in containerization platforms like Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift
Strong foundational knowledge of security concepts, including encryption, authentication, authorization, and access controls
