Job summary

Fuze Health is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to strengthen security across multiple teams, review architectures, and develop automation. You will help drive vulnerability management, cloud and on-prem security, and incident response while collaborating with partners in healthcare technology.

The role requires hands-on Kubernetes security experience, scripting expertise, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong communication skills. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in security engineering with focus on infrastructure, application and cloud security
• Hands-on experience securing Kubernetes (K8s) and container platforms in production
• Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python, Bash, Terraform or similar)
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication skills
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team
• Experience in building and maintaining security systems in Cloud and on-premises
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS, authentication systems, log management and web security
• Familiarity with CIS benchmarks, NIST, OWASP and related security standards
• Willingness to travel within the US on an irregular basis
• BS degree in CS or related field
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, OSCP)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to promote strong security controls and perform architectural reviews
• Review system designs to assess security posture and advise architecture via threat modeling
• Develop automation with Python and other tools to integrate security processes
• Write documentation including policies and procedures
• Oversee vulnerability scanning across networks, containers, and cloud environments
• Design and implement infrastructure security controls for servers, cloud, and container platforms
• Contribute to compliance efforts (HiTrust, ISO 27001) from a security perspective
• Support audits from customers and vendors as needed
• Participate in on-call rotation including outside standard hours
