Job summary

Redwood Trust, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain comprehensive security controls across identity, endpoint, network, cloud, and data protection.

You will operate a SIEM, build detections, and participate in incident response to protect borrower data and financial information. The role spans Azure, M365, on-prem, and AI workloads, with emphasis on secure development, DevOps integration, and governance aligned to NIST/CIS frameworks.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in cybersecurity roles including security engineering, operations or app security.
• Hands-on SIEM operation, detections, and incident handling across teams.
• Solid cloud security foundations on Azure and IAM basics.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across identity, endpoint, network, cloud, email, and data protection.
• Operate and tune the SIEM, build detections, and drive investigations to resolution.
• Participate in incident response and remediation with urgency and coordination.
• Embed security into delivery via CI/CD, IaC guardrails and secrets management.
