Job summary

Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in the United States is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to lead the design and operation of the firm’s cybersecurity infrastructure. The role focuses on AI security, agentic controls, cloud security across Azure and AWS, and robust identity management in a hybrid work environment.

You will design secure cloud architectures, implement CSPM tooling, and drive incident response with cross-functional teams while staying current with evolving security trends

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Security, Risk Management, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in information security or a similar role.
• Awareness of secure software development tenets and fundamentals.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (firewalls, proxies, NAT, routing).
• Familiarity with Data Loss concepts, SIEM log analysis, and risk assessment processes.
• Certifications such as Microsoft, CISSP, CISM, Palo Alto, Splunk, Cisco are valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable AI security and agentic security controls.
• Onboard AI use cases securely with DevSecOps and CSPM tooling.
• Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud architectures (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) including Azure and AWS.
• Develop and enforce identity and access management strategies in cloud environments.
• Monitor data protection policies using Microsoft 365 Security and Purview technologies.
• Lead incident response efforts and coordinate with stakeholders.
