Job summary

Gravity IT Resources seeks a Senior IT Security Engineer to design, implement, and operate enterprise cybersecurity across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will lead security controls, support threat detection, and collaborate with IT Infra, Network, and Cloud teams to strengthen our security posture.

The role emphasizes balancing engineering, operational support, and project execution with a focus on automation, governance, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• 5–8 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, security operations, or infrastructure security
• Experience managing and supporting enterprise security technologies, including EDR, SIEM, IAM, vulnerability management, and cloud security platforms
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft security technologies, including Defender, Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, and Azure security services
• Experience supporting incident response, vulnerability management, and security investigations
• Knowledge of frameworks and best practices such as NIST CSF, CIS Controls, and Zero Trust
• Experience scripting or automating security processes using PowerShell, Python, or similar
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, Security+, Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500) preferred

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity technologies across endpoint, network, cloud, and identity platforms
• Evaluate, deploy, and optimize security tools and controls to improve security posture
• Support development of standards, architectures, and roadmaps
• Partner with IT teams to ensure security controls are integrated into designs
• Monitor security operations and assist with incident response
• Investigate alerts and support remediation efforts
• Develop runbooks and response documentation
• Contribute to continuous security improvements
