Job summary

MatX is building a compute platform for AGI, hiring a Senior Security Engineer to secure software, build systems, and cloud infrastructure across RTL, compilers, ML training, and silicon. You will own supply chain, build integrity, and threat modeling efforts while providing hands-on security assessments and scalable tooling to teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in security engineering with depth in at least two areas.
• Hands-on offensive experience: pentesting or vuln research.
• Production-quality code experience in Go/Python/Rust or similar.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (GCP/AWS/Azure).

Responsibilities

• Own supply chain and build integrity programs: provenance, signing, SBOMs, reproducible builds, CI/CD hardening.
• Perform hands-on security assessments of code, build tooling, and internal services.
• Conduct vulnerability research and convert findings into durable fixes.
• Partner with software/ML/silicon teams on threat modeling and design reviews.
• Harden cloud infrastructure: IAM, network segmentation, secrets management, IaC review.
• Run vulnerability management with triage and remediation.
• Integrate security into SDLC: code scanning, dependency policy, pre-merge checks.
• Develop tooling to scale security work and provide developer-friendly utilities.
• Protect sensitive IP and export-controlled data with cross-team controls.
