Job summary

Ambience is seeking a senior, staff-level product security engineer to design, build, and operate secure, cloud-native products. You will own threat models, security requirements, and tooling while guiding high-risk changes from design through verification.

Bring extensive security experience, software engineering chops, and a bias for practical risk-based decisions. You will work closely with engineering, extending expertise into AWS security, IAM, network segmentation, and CNAPP operations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in product security or security engineering.
• Strong background in software engineering with production code in at least one backend language (Go, Python, Java, or TypeScript).
• Deep knowledge of authentication/authorization and API security.

Responsibilities

• Design secure systems and architectures for high-risk changes.
• Own security analysis, requirements, risk decisions, and tooling.
• Partner with engineering from design to verification on high-risk changes.
