Amazon is hiring a Senior Security Engineer to join the Field Innovation team within AWS, focusing on AI-enabled security across our services such as Security Hub, CloudTrail, and GuardDuty. You will engage directly with customers, run threat-modeling sessions, assess vulnerabilities, and guide remediation while partnering with service teams to ship high-fidelity detections.

You will work with security agents, AI tools, and emerging frameworks to deliver secure, scalable solutions across cloud

Qualifications

5+ years of troubleshooting systems issues, logs analysis, or automating tasks using command line tools.
5+ years identifying security issues and risks and developing mitigation plans.
5+ years scripting, programming, and security code review in common languages.
Knowledge of two or more languages: Scala, Java, Python, C/C++, Go.

Responsibilities

Run early-access and gated previews of AI-powered capabilities with customers, including threat modeling and remediation guidance.
Shape detection coverage and influence service roadmaps from customer input.
Drive detection engineering practices, reduce false positives, and measure coverage.
Stay current with cloud security threats, including AI/ML-related risks.
Collaborate across science, engineering, partner, and field teams with flexible hours for global customers.
