Job summary

C1, a leading AI-native identity security platform, is hiring a Senior Security Engineer to join a small, early-stage security team. You will build agents and automation to harden cloud and application security, shift left in design, and integrate security into the development lifecycle with a risk-based approach.

You’ll work hands-on across security engineering, application and cloud security, and compliance, primarily using Go and AWS.

Qualifications

• Experience building agents and automation for security.
• Experience with AI coding tools or agentic workflows.
• Live or recorded walkthrough of security automation shipped.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive security standards and secure-by-default solutions.
• Build purpose-built agents and skills to automate manual security work.
• Shift security left by integrating risk-based review into design specifications and architecture.
• Build security tooling and automation that scales security practices across engineering.
• Lead threat modeling and risk assessment for high-risk features and platform changes.
• Assess risks from agentic development practices and AI-powered features in production.
• Partner with engineering to define API security standards and conduct security code reviews.
• Explore and adopt open-source tools to assess security and testing of services.
• Identify systemic security risks and lead multi-team remediation end-to-end.
• Collaborate across security, compliance, and engineering on cross-domain problems.
• Contribute to compliance initiatives (SOC 2, ISO 27001) as they intersect with security focus.
• Invest in growth of teammates and raise security bar across the engineering org.
