Job summary

Arch Capital Services LLC is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to protect enterprise systems, data, and cloud environments. The role emphasizes AI-driven detection, automation, and advanced security engineering at scale.

You will lead complex investigations, build automation, and mentor the security team while working remotely across the US. A strong background in SIEM/EDR/XDR, cloud security, and Python is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of cybersecurity experience with a focus on security or detection engineering.
• 3+ years in a Sr. Security Engineer role.
• Deep technical knowledge of incident response, threat hunting, and adversary TTPs.
• Experience implementing and managing detection logic across enterprise SIEM, EDR/XDR, or cloud-native security tools.
• Experience securing and monitoring cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Demonstrated experience building functional tools in Python/Powershell, interacting with REST APIs, and writing clean, structured code (Git/CI/CD preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI-driven security workflows for alert triage and incident response.
• Develop and tune detection logic across SIEM, EDR/XDR, and cloud platforms.
• Build security tools with Python and integrate security APIs.
• Lead threat hunting and act as Tier-3 escalation for high-severity incidents.
• Map MITRE ATT&CK coverage and close detection gaps.
• Secure cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) auditing AI/LLM pipelines.
• Mentor juniors and enforce secure software engineering practices.
