Arch Capital Group Ltd. is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to protect enterprise systems, data, and cloud environments. The role focuses on advanced security engineering, threat detection, and AI-driven security capabilities, serving as a senior technical resource for investigations and automated response.

You will lead complex detections, mentor junior engineers, and improve security posture across SIEM, EDR/XDR, SOAR, and cloud platforms while working remotely in the United States.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of cybersecurity experience with a focus on security or detection engineering.
• 3+ years in a Sr. Security Engineer role.
• Deep technical knowledge of incident response, threat hunting, and adversary TTPs.
• Experience implementing and managing detection logic across enterprise SIEM, EDR/XDR, or cloud-native security tools.
• Experience securing and monitoring cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Demonstrated experience building functional tools in Python/Powershell, interacting with REST APIs, and writing clean, structured code (Git/CI/CD).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI-driven security workflows and playbooks for automated alert triage and incident response.
• Develop and tune detection logic across SIEM, EDR/XDR, and cloud platforms focusing on analytics and anomaly detection.
• Use Python to build security tools and integrate APIs for SOAR automation.
• Lead threat hunting initiatives and act as Tier-3 escalation for high-severity incidents.
• Analyze attacker TTPs to map MITRE ATT&CK coverage and close gaps.
• Secure cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) with focus on auditing and protecting AI/LLM pipelines.
• Mentor junior team members and enforce robust software engineering practices.
