Job summary

Akamai Technologies seeks a Security Architect Senior Lead to strengthen security compliance across our distributed network and products. You will translate complex requirements into technical guardrails and collaborate with engineering and InfoSec to shape secure designs.

The role focuses on cloud, network, and infrastructure security, PCI DSS compliance, and control frameworks, with opportunities to apply AI-driven protections and automation to improve adoption and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience assessing security in cloud systems, Internet technologies, infrastructure, applications, and data governance.
• Expertise in PCI DSS requirements, control assessment, and audit support.
• Experience designing security architectures and control frameworks for distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Assessing cloud, network, infrastructure, and application designs against security and compliance requirements.
• Translating requirements into technical specifications, security blueprints, and engineering guardrails.
• Supporting compliance programs, control assessments, and audits using Akamai's common control framework.
• Working with engineering and InfoSec to investigate security risks and define remediation.
• Improving adoption and monitoring of security controls through AI and automation.
