Job summary

M.C. Dean, an engineering leader in building intelligence, seeks an Engineer 3 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit.

You will design, engineer, integrate, operate, and maintain electronic security services for federal, local, and commercial customers, including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, and video systems. The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field, 5+ years of experience, and the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required with 5+ years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope.
• Security+ certification must be obtained within 6 months.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a SECRET clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining system documentation and maintenance records and generate weekly and/or monthly summary status reports.
• Staying current on industry trends and available products and services (4–6 hours weekly).
• Performing staging and setup for project support and self-instruction.
• Installing and configuring networks based on an Installation Design Package (IDP).
• Researching equipment from multiple manufacturers to resolve technical issues during installation and testing.
• Collaborating with Design Department to identify and correct design problems.
• Suggesting process improvements and cost savings for future installs.
• Providing systems support for a large-scale HPC center including installation and management of computer systems and interfaces; developing and maintaining system docs.
• Designing automation systems with bill of materials.
• Producing user guideline documents for end-user programs and applications.
• Working in a lab environment to learn IT and ESS systems.
