Empirical Security seeks an experienced Security Data Scientist to design, train, and ship exploit-prediction models using ground-truth telemetry across cloud, appsec, and traditional infra.

You will own models end-to-end, from framing to deployment, and explain remediation priorities to boards with data-driven narratives. Emphasis on handling highly imbalanced data and publishing rigorous methodologies.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Python and SQL; experience with reproducible data pipelines and secure handling of customer data.
• Deep experience with classification under heavy imbalance and production ML.
• Ability to explain model uncertainty to security executives and quantify risk.

Responsibilities

• Design, train, and deploy exploit-prediction models using diverse telemetry.
• Maintain monitoring and drift detection for production models.
• Collaborate with engineering to move models from notebooks to production systems.
• Publish methodologies, benchmarks, and conference talks.
