Job summary

Synergy ECP seeks a Senior Security Controls Assessor to assess security compliance of client information systems. The role involves analyzing security functions for weaknesses, performing vulnerability assessments, and conducting on-site evaluations.

The ideal candidate has strong technical reporting, presentation, and client-facing skills, plus deep knowledge of multiple OSs and network protocols. On-site work in Columbia, MD with TS/SCI and U.S. Citizenship requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or IT engineering or related field; substitution allowed for experience.
• Twelve+ years of related work experience preferred.
• DoD 8570-1M or equivalent certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conducts verification and validation for security compliance of information systems, products, and components.
• Analyzes design specs, configurations, and procedures for compliance and risk.
• Identifies non-compliance and suggests mitigations.
• Coordinates on-site evaluations and vulnerability assessments.
• Provides comprehensive verification reports and improvement recommendations.
