Job summary

Cymertek is seeking a meticulous Security Control Assessor (SCA) to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD. You will assess the effectiveness of security controls across information systems, perform testing and evaluations, identify gaps, and collaborate with IT and security teams to strengthen our posture while ensuring compliance with NIST, FISMA, and other regulations.

TS/SCI Full Poly and U.S. Citizenship required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Strong understanding of security control testing and evaluation methods.
• Experience with security audits and risk assessments.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
• Ability to interpret and apply security policies and procedures.
• Familiarity with vulnerability scanning and management tools.

Responsibilities

• Assess the effectiveness of security controls in information systems
