Qualifications

• Ten years or related work experience.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or IT Engineering is desired and may be substituted for four years of experience.
• DoD 8570-01-M compliance with Security Authorization Professional or System Security Engineer.
• Previous work experience as one of the following: IT Risk Assessor, System Security Engineer, Information Systems Security Manager, or DAO.
• Working knowledge of system security design, risk management, testing, and IA principles.

Responsibilities

• Assists in identifying overall security requirements for data protection.
• Performs security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management for systems and networking operations.
• Supports configuration management to include IA functions.
• Interacts with customers, IT staff, and executives to define IA objectives.
• Contributes to building security architecture and integration of legacy systems.
• Supports acquisition/RDT&E environments and IA in deployed systems.
• Prepares security authorization documentation.
