Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) seeks a Security Controls Assessor (SCA) to perform comprehensive assessments of security controls within Information Systems, covering Collateral, SCI, and SAP environments.

You will evaluate RMF/JSIG compliance, prepare SARs, and propose corrective actions to strengthen security posture. The role requires active TS/SCI clearance, DoD 8570.01-M qualifications, and prior experience in assessing DoD systems.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required or equivalent.
• 7 years of relevant security experience.
• 2 years in SAP, SCI, or Collateral information systems security.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to maintain it.
• Must meet DoD 8570.01-M requirements for IA Technician III or IA Manager II.

Responsibilities

• Conduct IS assessments in accordance with RMF and JSIG.
• Advise key stakeholders on assessment and authorization matters.
• Evaluate authorization packages for recommendation to the Authorizing Official.
• Identify and analyze threats and vulnerabilities; document assessments.
• Prepare Security Assessment Reports (SARs) and POA&Ms.
• Review sanitization procedures and support inspections and cybersecurity incident responses.
• Assess security impact of hardware, software, environmental or mission changes.
• Evaluate Continuous Monitoring Plans and provide actionable recommendations.
