Job summary

LV8D Solutions is seeking a Security Control Assessor (SCA) to independently assess management, operational, and technical security controls across IT systems for RMF/A&A determinations. The SCA reviews SSPs, verifies control implementations, and documents findings in SARs, coordinating with ISOs and government partners.

The role requires strong written communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with on-site expectations in Chantilly, VA and eligibility for required security

Responsibilities

• Reviews IS for compliance with IC, DoW, and ND guidance and makes recommendations to Government.
• Provides IS security guidance to Government and industry partners for protection of data at all classification levels including SCI.
• Evaluates threats and vulnerabilities to ISs and recommends approvals, disapprovals, or waivers for processing national security data.
• Supports development of directives and guidance for policies.
• Prepares final SAR with results and RMF approvals.
• Tracks RMF workflow and maintains documentation repository.
• Produces SOPs, reports, and memos for RMF process.
• Supports and conducts site visits and assessments of IS reports.
• Coordinates with ISOs and CCPs to initiate POAMs based on SAR findings.
• Reviews and approves the IS Security Assessment Plan and SAR completion.
