Job summary

Everforth ECS Federal is hiring a Senior Security Controls Assessor to work remotely, near the National Capital Region (NCR). You will support assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring of federal information systems in line with NIST RMF, IRS 1075, and federal security requirements.

You will collaborate with system owners and stakeholders to identify gaps, deliver remediation guidance, and help maintain security documentation across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience conducting security control assessments in federal environments.
• Active Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one.
• US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Support SA&A artifacts review, assessment, and maintenance (e.g., IRS Pub 1075, NIST SP 800-60).
• Analyze inventories, diagrams, test results to identify control gaps.
• Develop guidance to achieve compliance with NIST RMF and IRS Pub 1075.
• Present findings and remediation recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Update security policies and procedures to align with federal requirements.
• Interview stakeholders to document procedures and validate controls.
