Job summary

SkyePoint Decisions, a federal-focused cybersecurity provider, seeks a Security Control Assessor to support the DoED CPSS program in Washington, DC. This is a remote position contingent on government approval.

The role requires SA/OSA expertise, RMF and ATO processes, SSP and PIA guidance, and continuous monitoring oversight. A bachelor’s degree and CISSP (or equivalent) plus 3+ years in security operations are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or equivalent with 5–10 years’ related experience.
• Senior professional certification such as CISSP or equivalent.
• At least three years in a computer security incident response role.
• Three years of enterprise Linux and Windows administration.
• Experience in a Security Operations Center.
• Experience with credential stores (e.g., Active Directory).
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain High Risk Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide SA/OSA subject matter expertise for the information system security program.
• Guide program policies, procedures, and oversight.
• Review ATO packages for RMF and assist with continuous monitoring.
• Review PIAs and risk assessments.
• Review TPWA and SSPs for accuracy and completeness.
• Manage documentation and data calls for audits and compliance reporting.
• Track ATO renewal dates and coordinate with stakeholders.
