Job summary

SkyePoint Decisions is seeking a Security Control Assessor to support the DoED CPSS in Washington, DC. This is a remote position. The role requires SA/OSA expertise, review of ATO packages, and ongoing security authorization support for government systems.

Candidates should have CISSP or equivalent, 5–10 years of related experience, and demonstrated incident response skills within a Security Operations Center. Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a High Risk Public Trust clearance.

• Bachelor's degree and 5–10 years related experience.
• CISSP or equivalent certification.
• Experience in a Security Operations Center.
• Experience with Linux and Windows administration.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain High Risk Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide SA/OSA subject matter expertise to the Information System Security and Authorization program.
• Guide program with standards, policies, procedures, and oversight.
• Review ATO packages and continuous monitoring artifacts for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate data calls for audit and compliance reporting.
• Draft and review security/privacy documents (SSPs, RA, contingency plans, POA&M).
• Track renewal dates for security authorizations and OA processes.
• Support lessons learned sessions and best practices.
