Job summary

Amazon Security is seeking a creative and collaborative security compliance professional to deliver governance, risk, and compliance solutions for government authorization programs supporting ALG products and services. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Security, Computer Science, Risk Management, Engineering, Math, Statistics, or related discipline.
• Knowledge of AWS or cloud technologies.
• Experience prioritizing multiple assignments with deadlines, or in a fast-paced/high-tech environment.
• 7+ years of information security and compliance experience.
• US government security clearance of Top Secret or above.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply NIST SP 800-53, ICD, CNSSI for products and services; advise teams on compliance implications.
• Own end-to-end security control mapping across frameworks; define evidence and gaps.
• Author and validate security narratives for government packages (SSPs, SCTMs); establish quality standards.
• Define evidence requirements and build sustainable pipelines; reduce recurring collection burden.
• Lead assessment readiness; engage assessors; act as primary compliance contact.
• Author POA&Ms; set remediation timelines; track closure and elevate risks.
• Communicate assessment results, risks, and improvement areas to leadership.
• Coordinate responses to government security inquiries and customer requests.
• Develop deep technical understanding of control environment; translate for teams.
• Improve process throughput and predictability across domains.
