Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a technically deep Industry Specialist within the AWS Security team to own high-impact projects and drive security improvements at scale.

You will work with security, audit, and engineering teams to support compliance programs and enable customers in regulated markets. You will develop in-depth knowledge of AWS control environments, assess complex technical processes, and build tooling to streamline security initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in security, audits, customer trust, control assessments, or risk assessments.
• 3+ years of experience assessing complex technical processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of AWS's security controls and processes.
• Understand the internal security control framework and relation to compliance assessments.
• Assess risk profiles of emerging AI platforms and integrate into assessments.
• Perform service and feature assessments for customers and audits.
• Develop and deliver tooling to improve AWS security posture.
• Identify process improvements and high-risk areas.
• Collaborate with service owners to solve technical challenges.
• Build and deploy new tooling to automate security initiatives.
• Coordinate with service teams and stakeholders on improvements.
• Communicate assessment results and remediation status to leadership.
