Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Staff Security Assurance Engineer to lead high-visibility security compliance initiatives across a cloud-native landscape. You will report to the Senior Director and collaborate with Security, IT, Engineering, Internal Audit, and Corporate Operations to enable growth while safeguarding customers.

This role requires an active Top Secret Clearance, access to a SCIF, and residence in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret (TS) Clearance required.
• Must reside in the Washington, DC metro area or relocate.
• 7+ years in security and technical program/project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of security certifications, federal authorizations, and compliance initiatives.
• Identify blockers, drive rapid resolution, and maintain high velocity in a cloud-native environment.
• Navigate complex trade-offs across Engineering, IT, Product, and Security to reach timely decisions.
• Refine project frameworks to ensure rigorous yet agile security initiatives.
• Oversee milestones, dependencies, and risk mitigation with executive-level reporting.
• Build strong partnerships with Security Assurance SMEs and stakeholders.
