Neurophos in Austin or Sunnyvale seeks an experienced Security Lead to design, build, and defend our core cloud, network, and system infrastructure. You will own the architectural security posture, implement zero-trust boundaries, and manage vulnerability and incident response programs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of combined experience in infrastructure security, security engineering, or cybersecurity management.
• 3+ years leading a security program at a hardware, semiconductor, or high-growth tech company.
• Hands-on expertise in cloud security, network defense, IAM, and endpoint protection.
• Experience leading incident response runbooks in production/cloud environments.
• Strong ability to articulate security concepts to executives, engineers, and auditors.
• Vendor management to support IT needs until a dedicated IT leader is hired.

Responsibilities

• Deploy zero-trust network access, secure cloud perimeters, and IAM controls across cloud and on-site environments.
• Define and implement incident response runbooks; act as incident commander during security events.
• Establish SIEM/EDR, threat detection, vulnerability management, and continuous logging.
• Support customer/vendor security reviews and assessments; manage third-party risk.
• Own GRC processes and collaborate on SOC 2 Type II readiness with auditors.
