Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Principal Architect, Security Architecture to lead enterprise cybersecurity strategy across Cloud, Data, AI, and applications. You will shape platform security, drive secure software delivery, and partner with engineering to embed security into all lifecycle stages.

The role requires deep security technologist depth and executive communication to influence across domains while reducing risk and complexity. This is a full-time enterprise role in the United States.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in cybersecurity architecture or related tech disciplines.
• Experience designing security solutions for large, complex enterprises.
• Strong cloud security and identity security expertise; Zero Trust.
• Ability to translate business strategy into architecture and engineering decisions.
• Experience embedding security into CI/CD, IaC, and platform engineering.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the enterprise cybersecurity architecture aligned with business strategy, enterprise architecture, and risk appetite.
• Establish cybersecurity principles, reference architectures, standards, and design requirements.
• Lead security architecture reviews for platforms, cloud environments, applications, and data environments.
• Translate threat intelligence and risk into architecture improvements and security telemetry.
• Collaborate with EA and engineering teams to embed security into landing zones and pipelines.
