Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Security Architect Senior Lead to evaluate cloud, network, and application designs against security and compliance requirements, and to guide technical control design across Akamai's distributed infrastructure.

You will support audits, define remediation, and drive automation to improve security posture. The role requires experience in security architectures, PCI DSS, and control frameworks across distributed systems, with collaboration across engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience
• Extensive experience assessing security in cloud systems, Internet technologies, infrastructure, applications, and data governance
• Expertise in PCI DSS requirements, control assessment, and audit support
• Proven experience designing security architectures and control frameworks for distributed systems

Responsibilities

• Assessing cloud, network, infrastructure, and application designs against security and compliance requirements
• Translating requirements into technical specifications, security blueprints, and engineering guardrails
• Supporting compliance programs, control assessments, and audits using Akamai's common control framework
• Working with engineering and InfoSec to investigate security risks and define remediation
• Improving adoption and monitoring of security controls through AI and automation
