Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is looking for a Security Architect Senior Lead to help shape the security posture of Akamai's distributed network and products.

You will partner with engineering, product, and security teams, translating complex requirements into practical security blueprints and guardrails. You will drive audits and control assessments, collaborate on risk remediation, and push adoption of secure controls through AI and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience assessing security in cloud systems, Internet technologies, infrastructure, applications, and data governance.
• Expertise in PCI DSS requirements, control assessment, and audit support.
• Experience designing security architectures and control frameworks for distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Assessing cloud, network, infrastructure, and application designs against security and compliance requirements.
• Translating requirements into technical specifications, security blueprints, and engineering guardrails.
• Supporting compliance programs, control assessments, and audits using Akamai's common control framework.
• Working with engineering and InfoSec to investigate security risks and define remediation.
• Improving adoption and monitoring of security controls through AI and automation.
