Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Security Compliance Specialist Principal Lead to architect and drive enterprise-wide compliance across global cloud environments.

You will translate complex regulatory requirements into scalable controls and lead end-to-end audit initiatives with cross-functional teams. You will collaborate with security architects, engineers, and government stakeholders to ensure readiness for DoD, NIST, ISO, and other frameworks, while interfacing with 3PAOs and defense

Qualifications

• 10+ years relevant experience and BA/BS or Graduate Degree.
• Security compliance programs across multiple frameworks (DoD SRG IL4/IL5/IL6, CMMC, NIST SP 800-171/53, FedRAMP, SOC 1/2/3, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, GovRAMP).
• Experience in CSP environment or a Third-Party Assessment Organization.

Responsibilities

• Architect adaptable, unified control frameworks meeting DoD and federal authorization requirements.
• Collaborate with security architects, software engineers, and system owners to design, test, and maintain verifiable controls mapped to standards.
• Serve as primary technical interface for 3PAOs, C3PAOs, external audit bodies, and defense agencies.
• Manage end-to-end assessment lifecycles, evidence gathering, and remediations.
• Synthesize complex compliance gaps, audit findings, and regulatory shifts into actionable risk models and reports.
• Drive continuous monitoring and recurring audit workflows for ongoing readiness across lifecycles.
