Job summary

Aurora Innovation in Seattle is seeking a Security Software Engineer II to design and develop security components for the autonomous vehicle platform and cloud services. You will embed security features within autonomy frameworks and participate in architecture reviews and threat modeling.

Collaborate with partner teams to ensure secure design, production-quality code, unit tests, and scalable security solutions across software, hardware, and services in our hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of industry experience.
• Ability and desire to write production-quality code in C++, and Golang.
• Ability to work effectively with other software engineers on design and code; communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Translate product requirements into code independently.
• Able to write high quality production code, unit tests, integration tests.

• Design and develop new security components for our autonomous vehicle platform.
• Build and embed security components within autonomy frameworks and infrastructure frameworks.
• Work with partner teams to perform architectural design reviews of software, hardware, and services.
