Job summary

Early Warning, a trusted payments security leader, seeks a senior security engineer to drive vulnerability and configuration management. The role supports secure software and robust documentation, with independent project execution and cross-team collaboration.

The position offers hybrid work in Scottsdale (and other locations), on-call rotation, and opportunities to contribute to security policy while protecting data confidentiality and availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 5+ years IT experience with 3+ years in IT Security.
• Experience with enterprise vulnerability scanning platforms.
• Experience with enterprise endpoint security tools (AV, DLP).
• Expert understanding of Linux and Windows administration.
• Proficient in Python scripting for automation.
• Strong networking concepts incl. routing, NAT, firewall rules.
• SSL/TLS certificate management experience.

Responsibilities

• Upgrade and patch application software and operating systems.
• Integrate security tools with other corporate infrastructure.
• Assist in audits and ensure compliance efforts.
• Define gaps and research solutions to meet them.
• Monitor health of security tools and perform maintenance.
• Mentor junior security staff and interns.
