Job summary

D.R. Horton is seeking a Senior Security Analyst to keep business systems secure and running in an on-site role in Arlington, TX.

You will handle day-to-day IT security operations while leading investigations, patching, and security projects, including weekly on-call coverage for Active Directory management and forensic operations. Responsibilities include maintaining domain controllers, AD FS and DNS, applying patches, and guiding Security Analysts.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in an IT related field.
• Advanced knowledge of IT Security Operations and Forensic Operations.
• Advanced knowledge of IT Networking and Network Security Operations.
• Advanced knowledge of IT Infrastructure and Applications.
• Advanced knowledge of cyber attackers and threat actor tactics.
• Advanced experience with project management and delegation.
• Advanced business communication and collaboration skills.
• Advanced documentation skills, with the ability to work with teammates on projects and independently to complete assigned tasks.
• Ability to interpret research into solutions for real problems and provide customer service skills.
• Experienced mentoring and training skills.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form or via DRH applications.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in a Cyber Security discipline is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily IT security tasks and routine processes.
• Lead efforts to address IT security concerns and explain investigation results.
• Delegate tasks to Security Analysts and Administrators.
• Communicate outcomes of security investigations to IT Operations teams.
• Maintain and troubleshoot domain controllers and AD-related services.
• Support ADFS server maintenance and authentication work with IT Ops and Development.
• Manage DNS zones, F5 DNS VIPs and pools, and AD sites/subnets.
• Manage Group Policy, WMI Filters, and GPO troubleshooting.
• Perform patching operations and address vulnerabilities across systems.
• Coordinate patching with SCCM and confirm proper configuration.
• Ensure patches are installed and security apps function after patching.
• Support outbreak prevention and forensic investigations.
• Investigate infrastructure weaknesses and report malicious activity.
• Collaborate on deployments and IT security projects.
• Participate in weekly on-call rotation for AD, Forensic Ops, and IT Ops.
• Mentor Analysts and train team members on tasks.
• Define and deploy IT security projects and report status to leadership.
• Provide detailed explanations of investigation results and incident outcomes.
