Soteria, LLC is seeking a Senior Security Advisor to join a fast-paced, remote team. You will bring seasoned GRC expertise to lead complex risk and compliance engagements, guiding clients toward stronger security postures and delivering well-documented findings.

Success requires deep technical grounding, strong judgment, and ability to manage multiple engagements, mentor junior advisors, and maintain high-quality deliverables under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of industry experience in cybersecurity.
• Experience in cybersecurity consulting.
• Experience in cybersecurity leadership.
• Experience authoring System Security Plans and RMF/ATO processes.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, PCI-DSS, CMMC, GDPR, etc.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, etc.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with clients to understand security needs and develop engagement plans.
• Lead security assessments to identify gaps in clients' programs.
• Develop SSPs end to end, including control selection and documentation.
• Identify regulatory requirements and develop plans to achieve compliance.
• Draft policies and procedures for a documented security program.
• Mentor junior advisors and manage multiple engagements concurrently.
• Present findings to C-suite and board-level executives.
• Maintain client relationships and drive project updates.
• Support business development from initial contact to contract execution.
• Stay current on security trends and participate in industry events.
